No nuts, no cooking, high protein cheezy vegan sauce....perfect!
This sauce can be made in less than 5 minutes, no soaking of nuts, in fact no nuts at all. Versatile enough to use as white sauce for lasagne, for cauliflower cheez, for cheezy chips, or good old mac and cheez... recipe here....
I used soy cream in the sauce, but soy milk would suffice
1 300g carton of silken tofu, including the liquid
2 1/2 tbsps nutritional yeast
1 tsp onion powder
1 tsp white miso paste
1/4 tsp salt
a few grinds of black pepper
1/2 tbsp cider vinegar
2 tablespoons of soy milk or soy cream if you have some open
1tbsp vegetable oil
Place all the ingredients into a blender and whizz until smooth. Use as required....it's as easy as that!
